Hi, I’m Kwasi!
I’m a psychiatric nurse practitioner with a passion for psychedelic medicine and I’ve dedicated my career to exploring the intersections of community and well-being.
My journey into mental health care was deeply personal. Born in Ghana, raised in New York City, and later navigating the mental health system as a patient, I witnessed firsthand the gaps in support and the stigma, particularly in mental health treatments like psychedelics. These experiences shaped my drive to explore innovative, community-based approaches to healing.
I take a collaborative, client-centered approach, recognizing that healing is not one-size-fits-all. Whether through traditional psychiatric care or psychedelic-assisted therapy, I emphasize a holistic perspective that integrates mind, body, and community. My background in harm reduction and trauma-informed care means I prioritize safety, informed consent, and empowerment. Clients often find that I create a space where they feel heard, understood, and supported in exploring new ways of healing. My work is also deeply influenced by my commitment to diversity and accessibility—ensuring that individuals from all backgrounds can access the care they need.
